Empowerment and Training

Alfeco Group is invested in providing quality education through skills development programmes to promote the increase of employment, provide basic constitutional needs to different communities and schools.
Formal training facilitation at Alfeco was established to allow work-related practical exposure and continuity of skills in the workplace through internships, learnerships and apprenticeship programmes for unemployed youth.

Upskilling The Youth In Metal Industry Focused Faculties

Our mandate is to create sustainable jobs in an often-afflicted local economy to propel South Africa forward within the metal sector and make our country globally competitive.
Through an expansive gap analysis, we found that unemployed youth require extensive skills and training particularly in Administration, Electrical Engineering, Fitter and Turner, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy and Production Technology. A vital strategic tool to ensure employee engagement and encourage youth participation in graduate programmes and an integrated recruitment approach, we partnered with the University of Johannesburg’s Resolution Circle and MerSETA to fulfil these opportunities.
