Our secondary copper production was established from India Steel (Pty) Ltd.
India Steel was a significantly large raw material/metal recycler in Southern Africa.

Owing to this success of the recycling stable, Pioneer Metals was formed.
Pioneer Metals quickly established itself in the market and grew substantially due to a dedicated workforce, increasing exports and competitive pricing.

Our copper division still holds an impressive portfolio of international clients to date.
While we comprise a strict command in complying with necessary niche suppliers to various sectors, industries, and value-added manufacturers from construction, electrical and renewable energy, automotive, industrial, consumer products and packaging, we aim to do so by remaining environmentally friendly and becoming a domestic industry leader in sustainable copper manufacturing methods and recycling.

As Alfeco Holdings first extrusions company Pioneer Metals has helped propel the groups legacy strategy and ethos of growth and sustainability.

We are one of three divisions owned by Alfeco.

The copper division was the first to be established of the three.

The latter two divisions are the newly acquired Veer Aluminium and Veer Steel Mills.
